A Colorado witness at Colorado Springs reported watching two stationary, star-like, lights appear and disappear at about the 10,000-foot level of Pikes Peak, according to testimony in Case 85284 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness was sitting outside on an apartment balcony facing Pikes Peak after sunset about 9:25 p.m. on July 22, 2017.
“From a distance of approximately two miles on a clear night, I observed with my naked eye a star-like, stationary light appear at approximately 10,000 feet in the mountain range just north of Pikes Peak,” the witness stated. “I estimate this height knowing that Pikes Peak is slightly over 14,000 feet high. The light lasted approximately five seconds and simply disappeared.”
