A Michigan witness at Clinton Township reported watching a low flying, black, disc-shaped object, according to testimony in Case 83290 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness and a friend were sitting in a driveway at 8 p.m. on April 22, 2017.
“I saw a black object flying fairly close to the ground, about the height a bird would fly,” the witness stated. “I thought at first that the object was a bird. After watching it for a minute and realizing it couldn't be a bird, I pointed it out to my friend.”
The friend took and look and agreed that the object was not a bird.
“We watched the object fly until it was too distant to see. Upon first spotting the object we were able to see it quite clearly. It was a black, disc-shaped object. It was spinning in circles vertically, as if it was doing summersaults. It was moving in a straight path, unwavering. Quite slowly. Me and my friend both observed a sphere of ‘energy’ around it. I was thinking my eyes could be playing tricks on me when my friend independently stated, ‘do you see the globe around it?’ The circumference of the circle around the object was static, even when the object was disappearing in the distance. The ‘energy’ emitting from it was clear and had no color. There was a visible edge to the sphere.”
The witness confirmed that there were no other aircraft in the area before, during, or after the occurrence.
“Which is odd considering I live miles away from a government air base called Selfridge Field. Me and my friend felt as anyone would feel who just witnessed a UFO. We sat in silence as we watched in utter curiosity and nervous excitement.”
