A Missouri witness at Bunker reported watching military jets that appeared to be following a massive light, according to testimony in Case 87433 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The reporting witness was called outside by her husband at 9:04 p.m. on October 18, 2017.

“There was a large amount of Air Force jets flying over around us,” the witness stated. “No jets ever fly in the night in our area of the woods. We are both outside watching these jets encircling something, then we saw this massive light that was bright with orange and blue to it. Then it disappeared. Then a few minutes later, it looked as if the jets were chasing something. We saw this gigantic, huge, bright light and seconds later it went away.”

Missouri MUFON State Section Director Emmett Reary closed this case as an Unknown Aerial Vehicle.

Retired military witness spots UFO over Missouri

A Missouri witness at St. Clair reported watching a wingless object with a “brilliant white color,” according to testimony in Case 84543 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was four miles north of St. Clair traveling along southbound Highway 47 on June 14, 2017, at 6 a.m. when the incident occurred.

“I noticed what appeared to be a high-altitude commercial or military jet moving at an altitude from my due south towards my northwest at what appeared to be a reasonable speed for what it should have been,” the witness stated. “The only anomalies I noticed were its brilliant white color (similar to the reflection of sunlight from a home slide or movie screen) and a narrow, vertical, dark band just forward of the halfway point on the 'fuselage.’”

The witness specifically looked for a vapor trail and did not see one.

“At no time did the trajectory vary, nor did the apparent speed. I expected this bright 'sunrise' reflection to dim or disappear as the apparent angle to the sun and myself changed, but it never did the entire time I had it in sight (approximately four to five minutes).”
The witness wondered if there was a man-made explanation.

“For a short time, I considered that it might be an ISS 'flash,' or similar satellite 'flash,' but I've seen those before and they are shorter in duration. It took me about three-plus minutes to find a place to safely pull over, into a driveway, and get out binoculars. By this time, it was parallel to me, or slightly receding to the northwest.”

The witness described the situation.

“My initial altitude estimate is changed to probably 10,000 feet, as opposed to an altitude where a vapor trail would be created. Concomitantly, my speed estimate is reduced from commercial/military jet speed to approximately 225 mph (plus or minus about 50 mph).”

By the time the witness could use the binoculars, the front of the object was not visible due to the angle.

“The 'fuselage' was square, and I estimate it at six-feet-high by six-feet-wide and about 24 to 30 feet long overall. The tail was a tapered, convex, cone-shape comprising approximately the last 15 percent of the fuselage. There were no wings, although there was, on the starboard side, what appeared to be a very stubby wing box root protruding less than a foot along the top edge of the fuselage approximately 40 percent back from the apparent front end. There were no windows visible at all. There was no propeller in front or rear, no other 'pods' or engine nacelles, no emissions, no visible exhaust, no vapor trail(s), no nothing. I heard nothing from this object. Its flight path was absolutely straight and level without variation. There were no other flight control surfaces whatsoever. Its appearance never varied in the level of (apparently) reflected light. It was always brilliant white, with a very narrow, discernible vertical darkish line at approximately the rear of the stub wing box root area. This dark stripe did not appear to be a shadow.”

Missouri MUFON State Director Debbie Ziegelmeyer closed this case as an Unknown Aerial Vehicle.

A Nevada witness at North Las Vegas reported watching and photographing a teardrop-shaped object that appeared to be 500 feet in altitude and about two miles away, according to testimony in Case 83759 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was outside shooting images of airplanes landing at Nellis AFB at 2:16 p.m. on May 15, 2017.

“I have Sony a350 DSLR, 1/2000, ISO 400, f8 shooting specs,” the witness stated. “I was looking north as some airplanes come straight down the Vegas Boulevard to do two, 180-degree turns and land at Nellis. There are about 22 planes in this group. At about plane 18, I kept looking north down the boulevard and spotted a light coming behind and out of the clouds. There were a few cloud banks in the area and I began to shoot. Even if I couldn't see it, I still kept shooting. I managed to get 10 shots off in 10 or 15 seconds. I recorded an image on 9 out of 10.”

The witness described the object.

“The UFO is too far away, about two miles, to say what it was. It was like a bright light, but when I blew it up, it looked like a smoky goldfish cracker. I blew it up to about 200 percent and it looked like a cloud of circular smoke. I probably don't have the best equipment to say what it was. And with so few pixels, well, we don't have enough solid evidence other than its descending path, which can be calculated by time to say, yes this was a UFO. But the object started up at 1,000 feet and pulled a 45-degree descent. And then, just disappeared. As the last frame shows, it covered some distance really quickly. That's why I was determined to just shoot blindly. My feelings about the object, well, I never believed that I’d have a chance to see a UFO. I knew it wasn't an airplane. The object just vanished after losing cloud cover. It was over in 10 seconds or so. I looked at my time and it never clicked over 2:16 p.m. while taking these photos. Perhaps MUFON will have enough equipment to go beyond 2:16 and get in tenths of a second. Then we would know the true time from the first picture to the last.”

Nevada MUFON State Director Sue Countiss closed this case as an Unknown UAV.

Canadian witness reports multiple hovering UFOs

A Canadian witness at Metaghan reported watching a series of cigar or “dumbbell-shaped objects showing no emissions, according to testimony in Case 83637 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was driving towards Yarmouth from Church Point at 8:20 p.m. on May 10, 2017, when she spotted a dumbbell or cigar-shaped object hovering in the southern sky.

“At first I thought it could be a plane as the sun was setting, and it would make sense that it could reflect that strongly,” the witness stated. “But then I noticed there was no emission...zero...coming from the craft. I called my husband and told him what I was seeing when a second object appeared out of nowhere.”

As the witness turned a corner on the highway, the objects disappeared from view.

“I was bummed. Then five minutes later they reappeared in the same general direction. A few minutes later one disappeared, then both. Then about three minutes later, another appeared – this time towards the western sky. It floated slowly across the horizon and then disappeared.”

The witness noted a difference between these objects and jets.

“The object was significantly larger than a standard jetliner I would normally see in Nova Scotia skies. Nova Scotia is one of the busiest flight paths from international flights reaching US/Canada destinations. The outline of the object was fuzzy and the object(s) themselves were glaringly bright. The shape of the object was cigar-shaped, but with indents in from each respective edge similar to a dumbbell. I felt excited when I saw the objects (enough to call my husband and tell him what I saw!). I said out loud, ‘Hey! I see you! I wonder where you're from?’ I lost sight of the object(s) when I took my eye off of it (them) as I continued my drive to town.”

Canadian MUFON Field Investigator Paul Bedard investigated this case and closed it as an Unknown Other.
