![]() Was there and could there still be life on Mars? After examining a series of NASA Rover photographic images, an Ohio professor claims that there is likely evidence of both insect and reptilian life still exists on Mars. Professor R. William Romoser, Ph.D., is a professor emeritus of arbovirology (the study of viruses transmitted by arthropods). Professor Romoser, in a formal statement at the University of Ohio, says that there is an insect form of life now living on Mars. The photograph to the left was taken by a Mars Rover. To the left of the Rover’s track, Professor Romoser claims is an insect-like, creature (see insert). READ MORE

You must be jokeing MUFON. This kind of "news" belongs in the supermarket tabloids like the Globe or National Enquirer. I have a tree in my back yard that has a burl on it that kind of looks like an alien face maybe you could put in as news as well. What's next " Trump tower built over secret Reptilian underground base " or " Bill Clinton pregnant with alien baby " I really expect more from an organization that you have to join or donate to. You are moveing in the wrong direction MUFON. And 80$ to subscribe to your tv "news " show is ludicrous. That's more than I pay for basic dish tv plus special programs. This website is suffering and being ignored. I used to relish haveing morning tea and reading the 8 or so stories and comments but it has been reduced to incomplete short poorly written stories over the past year or so. I don't think I am going to renew my subscription. How sad. You are getting too big too fast.

Looks like the surprise my neighbor's doggy left on my lawn this morning. Maybe he's running amok on Mars too!

I think You are doing great. It has to be hard weeding through false reports, to get to the ones that there are no explanations. I appreciate all your hard work. You know that you must be doing something right when you get stupid comments from people that DON’T want you to find the truth, because it frightens them. Most of us know that there are good cases of UFO’s that are mass sightings. I myself was one of those who witnessed a UFO, with Many others. I am only encouraged to find out more!! Here’s to 2020, & the Eye opening changes that are soon to reveal itself. Patiently waiting, Sabrina Kelley

Well Sabrina we all want to know the truth but reporting a phenomenon known as Pareidolia is junk science. You can go anywhere on the web and find alligator rocks or alien helmets..even one of a humanoid form sitting on a rock pointing. Are they real? Maybe. But I really doubt it. And this site of all sites shouldn't use junk science.

I'm sure there are hundreds of actual reported cases to read about so that the reader can form their own opinion. Not a quack PH.D that sees dead bugs on Mars.

He also claimed to have discovered evidence of " unidentified aerial activities ". Stick with earth bugs doc let NASA find the mars bugs. Let me know when they find evidence of plants for said bugs.

While I will admit there are some strange anomalies on both the moon and Mars....some of these claims get a little out there. The moon rang like a bell when impacted by the LEM and even longer by Apollo 13s third stage leading some to belive it's hollow or at least riddled with lava tubes like Swiss cheese. Eruptions of clouds of gas or water vapor have been recorded. Does that mean there are alien underground bases on the moon? Hardly. Does a rock that looks like a bug or an alien body mean we found a ancient alien civilization? No. I have a rock in my fireplace that looks like a "Gray"s face! Had the contractor put it there for a conversation price. Did it come from an ancient alien base here on earth? No I found it in the local river. Does Jesus make his face appear on toast or pancakes? Some people see it. I'm not sure why he would. But these claims of alien moon bases..or the face on Mars..or huge underwater UFO bases at Monterey are really far out. I've seen them with a open mind and I just don't buy it. Now if we sent a probe and photographed a shiney lit up UFO in a shiney lit up base that I would belive. Not a grainy out of focus photo that shows something and someone takes a marking pen and draws in what he thinks are runways or generators or towers. A lot of people claim the earth is flat....and can "prove it" with facts and figures...but I'm not buying that on either.

If it's so unusual why didn't they zoom in on it?

Aren't there thousands of real UFO cases ,even old ones, with REAL witnesses and physical evidence to report here? I could think of a dozen mass sightings worthy of reporting. These city's on Mars stories or bases on the moon are pseudo science at best. Like another commenter said belongs in the tabloids in the checkout aisle at your grocery store. You have sunk to a new low MUFON.

I just watched " Aliens on the moon " documentary. Again fuzzy photos with highlighted "anomalies" of satillete dishs..bridges..generators..And some sort of worm animal. I doubt a technically advanced race would need any of the above...especially a bridge since there are no rivers on the moon. The real kicker was the alien female mummy they dragged aboard the L.E.M....I've seen better looking sideshow attractions for a dollar. Really any race that can instantly traverse space or dimensions wouldn't need a big fancy base.

Wonder if you stop to think sometimes if everything they are saying is true, and all of those things up there do exist. But that doesn't make them alien.

I don't understand why scientists get so excited when they think they discovered evidence of water on Mars. Both poles of Mars are covered with ice a.k.a. frozen water...so yes its not outrageous to suggest the planet has water. Probably lots of water at one time.

Gee wiz I didn't know you could get a fancy pants degree from some college and actually get PAID to find make belive bugs in NASA pictures. I thought I had it made graduating high school and owning my own salvage business. Good luck with that doc.

I took a long hard unbiased look at your work professor. With a open mind. I see rocks in low resolution photos. Sorry. Further more there is not much air or water or plants there for them to live on.

Why would earth like snakes and bugs be on Mars? Wouldn't they be unlike anything we have ever seen?
