MUFON encourages witnesses around the world to submit UFO sightings
NEWPORT BEACH, CA – JANUARY 31, 2017 – To Further the MUFON mission of “the scientific study of UFOs for the benefit of humanity,” the organization encourages witnesses to submit their UFO sightings to its reporting database.
“Each case file brings us one step closer to uncovering the truth,” states Jan C. Harzan, MUFON Executive Director. “Our team of researchers and investigators stand ready to collect sighting data, investigate the reports and help us solve the UFO mystery.”
MUFON receives up to 1,000 UFO reports per month from across the globe. A significant number of reports come from the United States, United Kingdom and Canada, along with more than 30 other countries.
According to statistics from the Mutual UFO Network witness reporting database, the sphere remains the most-reported UFO shape. The triangle UFO is the second most-reported shape, with the disc a close third. In many reported cases, the object is within 500 feet, offering the witness a close-up opportunity to examine and record what they are seeing.
