
The MUTUAL UFO Network (MUFON) received a total of 529 UFO reports for the month of April where 343 originated in the U.S., according to statistics released May 1, 2017. Those numbers are down about 6 percent from the same reporting month in 2016.
The U.S. was the top reporting country at 343; with United Kingdom at 75 and Canada at 49.
The three leading report states in April were California, 53 reports; Texas, 26; and Florida, 23. Other states with 10 or more reports include: Michigan, 14; Arizona and New York, 13; Georgia and Pennsylvania, 11; and North Carolina and Ohio, 10.

The sphere remains the most-reported UFO shape at 77 cases. Triangle and Disc, 49. Cases where the object was less than 500 feet was 72; and 110 reports include testimony that the object was less than 100 feet.
