Case Editor: Will work with our Cases-of-Interest Editor to track cases identified as Cases of Interest through Field Investigator closure. Those cases closed as Unknowns and that remain interesting will be logged; turned into feature stories or assigned to writers.
Science Editor: Track all work conducted by the Science Review Board and its sub-teams and identify subjects of interest for feature stories; write features or assign to writers.
Features Editor: Track a variety of MUFON work, people or case-related subjects and create feature stories; or assign ideas to writers.
Arts Editor: Track interesting artists in all mediums producing UFO-related works that may be previewed or promoted in our Journal or website.
Writers: Will accept work from our Assignment Desk in our Newsroom to produce quality feature stories for the Journal and website.
Columnists: Recommend a new regular column for the Journal
One-On-One Editor: Take over this established Journal feature where you interview members of MUFON in a Q&A format. Currently are producing one per month for the Journal, but we want to increase these for web content.
Newsletter Production Manager: Work with a Newsletter Editor to produce our bi-weekly Newsletter in Constant Contact program.
Journal Advertising Manager: Develop a Journal advertising program to insure greater numbers of paid advertisements. Set advertising size and rate standards. Oversee individual advertisements from request to finished product in a timely manner.
Journal Production Manager: Work with the Journal Editor to produce pages in the InDesign program.
Student Program Director: Develop a national program to attract college students to form a MUFON club on campus and recruit new members.
Police Education Director: Develop a national program to make state and local police departments aware of MUFON and how to work with MUFON on UFO reports.
Community Education Director: Develop a national MUFON awareness program that interacts with communities to promote MUFON.
Membership Director: Develop a national program to increase our membership numbers.
Please keep in mind that these are volunteer positions; work with us to structure your hours to suit your needs. Consider two or three hours weekly; or more hours as you are able. We need quality help in specific areas where everyone is working together as a team. Schedules and deadlines are very important; and understanding your role and how it works with the larger picture is also important. The bottom line is creating more quality content. New areas are about to launch too.
