Chris Styles - UFOs and Reality Transformation
There are events that occur during a person's lifetime which transform their reality in some way. An event triggers a series of symbolic displays that are indistinguishable from reality for the observer. A multiple witness UFO sighting is one possible event that could cause a reality transformation (RT). There are two main types of RTs: consistent and inconsistent. Two cases will be examined which display the attributes of each type of RT. The first case is from Shag Harbour , Nova Scotia , in 1970. The second case is from Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia in 1976. Each of these cases were multiple witness sightings. The documentation for both cases was found in the royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) records in the Canadian National Archives in Ottawa . Copies of the original reports are located in Appendix of this paper.
William J. Birnes - The Day After Corso
No matter what has been said about him, I maintain that Lt. Col. Philip J. Corso was a true American hero, a leader amidst a singularly heroic generation that won the Second world War and protected the free world not only from the absolute devastation and scourge of the Nazis and their Axis friends, but from Stalin and the communist dictatorship of the Soviet Union. At a time during the early months of World War II, it seemed as though the free world would be wiped out by what was then an unmitigated force of evil. Then, after Allied victories in Europe and Japan ended the Second World War, another war began, this one "cold" but not one bit less deadly, which also threatened to overwhelm the free world.
These two back-to-back wars were fought not only on the battlefields of Europe and Asia , but in the political offices of Washington , inside the Pentagon itself, and in thousands of unnamed places throughout the United States . Only Col. Corso and a few others deep inside American military intelligence knew the extent of political subversion of the Nazis and then of the KGB. And most of them are dead.
The appearance of Lt. Col. Philip J. Corso on the UFO scene back in 1997 with his book THE DAY AFTER ROSWELL , added so much to the mix of opinion, claim and counterclaim, and accusations of disinformation that it said more about the Ufology community than it did about Corso himself. In fact, the impact that the colonel had, and continues to have, merits its own little essay on Philip Corso himself and the reactions he stiffed up. First of all, Col. Corso, it's important to understand, was no stranger to controversy. He was once of the foot soldiers during the Communist conspiracy hearings in the 1950s, and he knew how to play on the field of public opinion. He spent his life in the trenches of political and bureaucratic warfare and entered into the Ufology wards knowing that he would face criticism. Just how much criticism he would face surprised him, but he was ready. What was the nature of the man who would stir up so much hostility in the UFO community?
Jeffrey W. Sainio - Scientific Connections in Photo/Video Ufology
This paper, written for the nonscientist interested in a disciplined look at the UFO phenomenon, first covers principles of scientific analysis, and the all-too-common failures of analysis found in this field. It then shows examples of photo/video UFO cases and how these principles are useful (or not useful) in gleaning information from these cases. Except for well-publicized fakes, the cases shown have not previously been widely shown.

William F. Hamilton III - In Search of EBE's - Astrobiology, SETI, and Ufology
In the last few years the scientific pursuit of extraterrestrial life and extraterrestrial intelligence as embodied in the fields of SETI and Astrobiology share common interests with some of the concerns addressed in UFO and alien abduction studies. New findings in planetary science as well as new findings and theories in biology have a bearing on UFO studies and a convergence of knowledge is indicated by all of these studies. This paper explores the new perspectives offered by these findings and theories and their relevance toward resolving the mystery of UFO origins.
Timothy Good - conflicting Interests in the Control of Extraterrestrial Intelligence
Earth - unique in our solar system and for light years around - has not surprisingly attracted the interests of several alien species. Some are here for purposes of exploitation, such as hybridization, leading to a conflict of interests at both a terrestrial and extraterrestrial level. Timothy Good, one of the world's most respected authorities on the alien phenomenon, discusses remarkable events reported around the world: Antarctica , Great Britain , Italy , South America , Spain , and the United States , including Puerto Rico , where he has focused much of his research in recent years. He also discloses extraordinary information provided to him via a high-ranking source who confirms that aliens have established subterranean and submarine bases on Earth and that contact has been made with a select group in the U.S. military and scientific intelligence community.
Don Ledger - Air Traffic Control Zones, Pilots, aircraft and UFOs - -Some Myths and Truths
The misinterpretation of Air Regulations, and Air Traffic Control Systems and Regulations by UFO researchers, some scientists and lay public, when UFO incidents occur in regulated airspace near aircraft.
Budd Hopkins - The Abduction Phenomenon - Where We Are Now
There are several things we can say we know with assurance about the UFO phenomenon, and there are quite a few theories that we can confidently pronounce as wrong. However, there are many aspects of the phenomenon, particularly abductions, which are still being studied and evaluated. The following paper summarized where we are now with the abduction phenomenon.
Peter Robbins - An American in Suffolk: Reflections, Observations and Updates on a Decade's Research into Britain 's Rendlesham Forest UFO Incident
It has now been five years since the publication Left at East Gate: A First-Hand Account of the Bentwaters-Woodbridge UFO Incident, its Cover-Up and Investigation . Larry Warren and I spent ten years (1987-1997) seeing this project through to completion and I see no good reason to attempt a summary of its four-hundred-and-ninety pages in these proceedings. Rather, the intention of this paper is considerably less formal:
to set down some afterthoughts on the book and the events which inspired it,
to recall a few of the people and situations that (quite appropriately) never made it into print,
to examine whether or not Left at East Gate had any impact on official government policies pertaining to UFOs in the United kingdom ,
and to report on some updates in the story.

David M. Jacobs, Ph.D. - Building a Professional Community
Although both the UFO phenomenon and the UFO research community have presented almost insurmountable barriers to scientific engagement with the data, the brunt of responsibility for this lack of engagement must lie with the scientific, academic, and professional communities. In spite of the anti-intellectual way that the mainstream scientific community has acted, a significant number of concerned scholars and professionals have come forward over the years who want to study the subject. Using these people as a base, UFO researchers can build an impressive scientific community of their own.
