Cynthia Hind - Abductions in Africa - Worldwide Similarities Although the UFO experience may be the same for people of different cultures, its interpretation may differ. The fact that different reports come from different cultures does not disprove the concept that UFO experiences are real. Such reports may even strengthen the concept that these events are real. This is because the core experience may be similar in different cultures, only the slant or interpretation varies. Because it is important to separate the effects of culture from the actual experience of the event, it is essential for the field investigator to pay attention to the effects of culture in UFO investigators.
This paper deals with reports from Africans of widely different backgrounds: African, Western, Asian, and mixed race cultures. In some of these cultures, people are unaware of UFOs and even of human space travel. The experiences reported here include, two from African tribal people, two from South Africans, and one with Islamic overtones. Each case includes abduction elements. The cultural interpretations of these experiences are compared. In addition, the cultural bias of different elements of the UFO community on the subject of abductions is discussed.
Linda Moulton Howe, M.A. - Moving Lights, Disks and Animal Mutilations in Alabama
From October 1992 until March 1993, thirty-two mutilations were reported to the Fyffe and Albertville , Alabama police departments. Beginning in January 1993, dozens of people reported odd, bright moving lights over their homes or pastures; dozens more reports described unmarked helicopters in pastures and loud, vibrating chopper sounds in clear skies. At least two families reported large, disk-shaped objects within 45 feet of their bedroom windows.
I was able to help get a substance found on a cow's face to a university laboratory for analysis which confirmed that the substance is an unidentified inorganic compound. I was also able to get tissue samples to Dr. John Altshuler, pathologist and hematologist in Denver , Colorado , who confirmed one cow's udder had been cut with a sharp instrument and that six tissues from another calf had been cut with high heat.
On April 7, 1993 , the Fyffe, Alabama Police Department held a press conference and about forty-five reporters from three states attended. The media coverage about the animal mutilations has been extensive, including a CNN report. The animal parts excised are similar to those removed in animals worldwide since the late 1960s. Circumstantial evidence in eyewitness reports continues to link a non-human intelligence to the phenomenon.
Hoang-Yung Chiang, Ph.D. - UFO Sightings and Research in Modern China
Although there were more than 7,500 UFO sightings in ancient and modern China , very few cases were studied with scientific techniques. The most famous event is the spiral-shaped UFO sightings in 1981, which was witnessed by more than one-million people.
In this paper two airlines sightings, Tibet UFO events, UFO crash incident, and Shanghai UFO cases will be discussed.
Founded in 1978, the China UFO Research Organization (CURO) is the only UFO research organization, on the mainland of China . In Taiwan , the Taiwan UFO Science Association was formally recognized by the government in 1993. Although the UFO research in China is not as current as that in the USA , UK , France , and Japan , it will be progressing and displaying its own unique features in the near future.
John F. Schuessler and Edward F. O'Herin - Truck Driver Injured by UFO:
The Eddie Doyle Webb Case
Reports of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) from all over the United States and the Western Hemisphere were being made in record numbers during the month of October in 1973. Activity in the southeastern quadrant of the country was especially heavy. This paper reports on the Eddie Doyle Webb injury incident which took place on October 3, 1973 , just as the October UFO flap was getting into full swing. It was a standard operating protocol for the authors to work together on the case. John Schuessler was the MUFON Missouri State Director at the time and Edward O-Herin was the State Section Director for the locale where the event took place.
Jeffrey W. Sainio - Video Analysis
Techniques of video analysis, with an emphasis towards methods usable with a minimum of equipment, are explained. Pitfalls typical of video are covered, and methods shown which can be used to exploit the advantages of motion. Most points are illustrated with submitted UFO footage.
Wesley E. Ellison - Detection and Analysis of Aerial Phenomenon
In the search for hard evidence to substantiate the existence of UFOs on the Planet Earth, this paper contains methods and means to detect their presence that can be utilized by investigators and researchers. The proposed instrumentation extends the human senses through artificial means. Each of the suggested pieces of equipment can be built by an individual researcher or assisted by a technician.
One of the goals of MUFON is to establish a network of UFO detectors throughout North America to not only detect their presence but conceivably to track them. In conjunction with the detection devices, the opportunities for good UFO photographs are enhanced. It is anticipated that duplication of the instruments depicted in this paper will further the state of the art in Ufology.
Vincente-Juan Ballester Olmos - Spanish Air Force UFO Files: The Secret's End
Actual disclosure of Spain 's Ministry of Defense UFO files started in October 1992. The author has played a significant role in this breakthrough. The present speech serves the purpose of relating the history behind that achievement. It will detail the Spanish Air Force's involvement in the UFO subject from 1968 to present-day, past and new investigation procedures, regulations raised over the years, press releases, sighting statistics, along with samples of case reports from pilots and other military personnel eyewitnesses, at radar premises, etc.
Special coverage will be provided of the actual declassification process, steps and methodology, since its inception of its final materialization. The speaker has been fortunate enough not only to promote it but to follow it up very closely, so that I can talk firsthand from the perspective of an insider.

George Knapp - Area 51, Bob Lazar, and Disinformation - Reevaluation
Classified activities at Nevada 's top secret testing facility, Area 51, have inspired numerous wild stories and exaggerations within UFO circles. The claims of former government scientist Robert Lazar have been vilified by many ufologists, even though few ufologists have properly or thoroughly investigated some of those claims. This paper will attempt to clarify Lazar's allegations, testimony of other knowledgeable witnesses concerning the possible storage and testing of alien technology in the Nevada desert. It will also focus on the possibility that the Area 51 allegations may be connected to a government disinformation campaign.
