MUFON is producing its first annual cookbook as a first quarter fundraising project. The book will be available in print and will include three divisions: Appetizers, Main Dishes and Desserts.

Jan has been a MUFON member for decades and has been involved with the administration of the organization at the national level for many years. His interest in UFOs began with an extraordinary sighting he had as a child. This sighting also influenced his career path. We talk to Jan about this sighting, an interesting encounter he had with retired Lockheed Skunk Works director Ben Rich, and the future of MUFON.

History's H2 channel release of "Hangar 1: The UFO Files" February 28, 2014, inspired at least one viewer to file a UFO report with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), according to testimony in Case 54384 from the MUFON witness reporting database.
The witness had a UFO encounter about 10 a.m. on July 10, 2012, but had kept details of the incident to himself until a few scenes in the "Hangar 1" show depicted objects that resembled his original sighting. The "Hangar 1" episodes are based on MUFON case files and the first episode was televised just last evening.

The first episode of H2 channel's "Hangar 1: The UFO Files" that premiered this past Friday night was made available to watch from their Web site on March 1, 2014, according to Executive Producer Paul Villadolid.
The 8-episode season one kicked off Friday night with "Presidential Encounters" that looks at what Presidents may have known about UFOs and an alien agenda.
Announcing the MUFON-based TV series on The History Channel’s H2 network entitled “HANGAR 1: THE UFO FILES” premiering on February 28 2014 at 10:00 pm EST 11pm PST.
The series features interviews with Jan Harzan, John Ventre and Jeremy Ray of MUFON and Jason McClellan of “Open Minds” radio along with other experts including Richard Dolan, Grant Cameron, Leslie Kean, and Michael Schratt.
News Anchor Mark Bradshaw from ABC affiliate KTUL in Tulsa, Oklahoma, covered a local UFO event and invited an opinion from Oklahoma State Director Rick Gardner.

HUNTSVILLE,AL--"The mission of MUFON is to scientifcally study UFOs for actually the benefit of humanity." Richard Hoffman, Director of the Mutual Unidentified Flying Object Network for both Mississippi and Alabama, said.
The Dayton, Ohio, native has been a member of MUFON since the organization was founded in 1969.
His travels have taken him all over the country, catalouging and studying alleged UFO sightings.
If you think he's kidding, you'd be wrong. In fact, he says just last year they were busily tracking UFO sightings in our area.
