Not Once, But Twice
After turning on a very curvy road that traveled beside the river, I was traveling about 25 mph when my 1973 Pontiac LeMans Sport Coupe just lost all power, engine stopped. No lights...Nothing. Using a few choice words, I remember complete darkness.
The 2nd time was in 1995, it was winter time and I was working 2nd shift.
When I got off of work at 11:00 p.m. I was heading to the parking lot my older model Chevy pick up truck and noticed it had heavy ice on the windshield. I used a credit card and scrapped a small spot to look through and head home. This was normal for me to do because most of the way home way country road surrounded by farmland with no streetlights from the city I worked, in to where I lived.
Having traveled about four city blocks heading just outside of town, my Chevy truck lost all power. Again with no lights...Nothing.
The next thing I remember, I am standing outside the truck, it is running with headlights on. I entered the truck and noticed it was extremely hot inside, my estimation approximately 120 degrees. The windows were completely defrosted with not a drop of water on the windshield. This was not possible with this older truck, it would not have defrosted completely before I reached my home, never.
Arriving at home I notice I had lost 15 minutes of time, I recall this because at the time it was habit for me to look at a clock and see how much time I had before a late night talk show came on that I watched every night after work.
The driving force for me as an Investigator is to better understand why this type of thing happens to people and they live their lives as if it didn't occur. I have drove down both these roads numerous times, for years, and can drive those same roads with no emotional effects to this day. This goes against human nature, seems to me that something like this would be very upsetting to me or anyone and in some cases and mine this isn't the case.
After each incident I experienced memory loss, to an extreme. It was instrumental in my reporting the events to MUFON. There is a CMS report in the system, along with a photo of me in the very car I was driving during the first event in 1980. As I will share here.
I told no one of either experience, most of my life. I have worked in the public service sector, this type of thing had to be kept to myself for obvious reasons. Recently I decided to tell my story to MUFON , undergoing regression, thus leading me back to today. I am a MUFON Investigator now, and trying to understand what happened not once but twice.
