The all-important wrapping we put around this includes Communications on the UFO subject including radio, TV, print and social media; Research: both our own and encouraging others including individuals, universities and corporations to delve into this important topic for the benefit of humanity. At the same time we help experiencers connect and find the help they need to cope with the experiences they are going through. Education: reaching out to local and national groups through talks, seminars and conferences including our own MUFON Symposium that will be held this August 25-28 in Orlando, FL. And finally, of course Investigations: including growing and maintaining a vibrant field investigator organization.
Several Key initiatives for 2016 include our New Global Database as we begin to roll out the first phase which is the global archive system. This is going through final testing and will be ready for volunteers to load years of data and information into it for later retrieval by MUFON members, researchers, and the public. A second initiative will be the rollout of MUFON University, an online education and training center or our State and National Directors as well as FIs. We need to measure our success, and strive to be better each and every day and MUFON University will help us do that under the leadership of Ken St. John and his team. A third initiative will be reaching out to the younger generation, those under 30. Especially our high school and college students. It is vitally important that we bring them up to speed on 70 years of history, while at the same time engaging them in what is happening right now. In 20 short years these will be the leaders of our world and understanding this subject will help us breakthrough the log jam of secrecy that has prevailed up until now. And finally promoting research by talking to groups and organizations that are outside of the UFO community, but interested in many of the capabilities that UFOs demonstrate each and every day. Engaging the broader community, and asking the engaging questions; who are they? Where are they from? And why are they here? How does their technology work? And how do we put it to peaceful use here on our planet for everyone’s benefit?
So many questions, now it’s time for answers. Welcome to 2016.
