For this reason I am pleased to announce the creation of an important new position in MUFON, the Director of Field Investigator Development and Training. This new position will be responsible not only for our FI curriculum, but also for developing our Field Investigator force to be the very best in the world. This new role will be responsible for creating entry level, and advanced FI curriculums; overseeing the growth and development of all new, and seasoned FIs in the field; as well as ensuring that the proper recognition and reward system is in place to recognize our best and our brightest, and to encourage personal development along the way.
It is my pleasure to announce that Fletcher Gray, our former STAR Team manager, has accepted the position of Director of FI Development and Training, reporting to our Director of Investigations, Steve
Please join me in congratulating Fletcher on his new assignment and wishing him well in this important endeavor. I know he welcomes your support in making this new opportunity a huge success for all of us at MUFON.
Besides serving in field investigations, Richard contributes his talents in other areas of MUFON including the STAR Team Case Assistance Group, providing FI training, and serving on the Science Review Board’s Top 10 Review Committee under Robert Powell, our Director of Research. Please join me in congratulating Richard on his promotion to STAR Team Manager. We are looking for great things from Richard in his new position and I know he welcomes your support and expert advice and counsel in making this opportunity a great success for all of us at MUFON.
Special Assignment Team
Finally, as we approach season 2 of “Hangar 1: The UFO Files,” we know we will be receiving a number of calls from people with incredible stories to tell. Some of these will be former military personnel, military and civilian pilots, members of military and civilian intelligence agencies, and other folks who have had extraordinary events happen to them that are for the most part historical in nature. How do we know this? Well, it happened the first season of “Hangar 1,” and based on the show line-up for season 2 it is sure to escalate as this new season unfolds. These will be cases that are not generally reported through our Case Management System (CMS).
So that we are prepared for this potential flood of high value reports, we will be identifying a handful of STAR Team members who are ready, willing, and able, at their own expense, to fly or drive to meet these witnesses on a moment’s notice to confirm identities, validate stories, and record on HD video their testimony for history’s sake.
If you are currently a STAR Team member and interested in being part of this special assignment team, please let Steve Hudgeon’s or myself know as soon as possible. We of course will share these incredible stories with our members through the MUFON UFO Journal once the cases have been investigated and validated as being real. I know if you are like me, you can’t wait to read these stories that have remained untold for decades until now. So stay tuned.
